World Football star Cristiano Ronaldo made a tearful departure from Juventus’ game against Valencia on Wednesday after he received his first red card in 154 games of Champions League play.
Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off on his Champions League debut for Juventus after an off-the-ball incident against Valencia. After just 28 minutes of the match, the striker appeared to knock Jeison Murillo to the ground off the ball and was shown a straight red card by the referee Felix Brych.
In his first Champions League match with Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off in the 29th minute for what looked like patting. The Portuguese star couldn’t believe it, arguing the call, gesturing with his hands and shaking his head as he left the game in tears. The Portugal star was clearly distraught as he left the pitch, still shaking his head. (I’m a Ronaldo super fan, and that has to be the most ridiculous red card I’ve ever seen)
Ronaldo, 33 year old, joined Juventus from Real Madrid in the summer and scored his first two goals for Juventus this past weekend in a 2-1 win over Sassuolo in Serie A.
